Sapporo has various festivals through out the year. Starting in Feburary there is the Sapporo Snow Festival and in mid summer there is the Sapporo Summer Festival which is a massive beer garden stretching form 1 chome W1 to 11 chome W11 Odori Park.

Japanese love to shop and Sapporo is no exception. Got a free day and the downtown shopping area can be a great place to hang out and do a bit of shopping. You know what they say "When in Japan do as the Japanese do"

Arcade Games are synonomise with Japan. Sapporo has many arcades. If you are in the downtown city centre Sugai W2 S2 or Sluggers W2 S4 may satify your need.
Pachinko is one of Japan largest pass times, for that reason Pachinko Palors are on almost every block like Sapporo's infamous ramen shops.
